The setup process for the OpenTelemed Network Partner program typically takes between 45 to 120 days, depending on your availability. Our training program is self-paced, allowing you to expedite the process by completing the telehealth training curriculum at your preferred pace. On average, the training itself takes approximately 30 days to complete. Once your training is finished, we will promptly provide you with a business website, collaborative physicians, and all other necessary resources. The program welcomes participation from a broad spectrum of medical professionals, including Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), Medical Assistants (MAs), Doctors, Healthcare Social Workers, Registered Nurses (RNs), Dietitians, Nutritionists, Holistic Practitioners, and many more.

OpenTelemed provides an opportunity to serve between 200 to 500 patients per state, making it especially advantageous for medical professionals holding interstate practitioner licenses.

Your reimbursement will be determined by insurance fee schedules, which can range from $150 to $1700 per visit. Once you sign up with us, you can inquire about the national Usual Customary Reasonable (UCR) fees. Each telehealth practitioner will operate their independent telehealth clinic under NP Telehealth’s supervision, and they will receive direct payments from patients and insurance providers. OpenTelemed will not be involved in any financial transactions between insurances, patients, and your practice.

OpenTelemed will provide you with the opportunity to see between 200 and 500 patients per month per state, enabling you to schedule appointments based on your availability and the quality of your appointment booking skills and services. Payment will be made promptly upon receipt of payment from the insurance providers, typically within 15 days after billing a claim. OpenTelemed will enroll you with the CDC, granting you access to nationwide mobile labs. You will have the ability to view the list of available labs across the nation and can conveniently order lab tests based on the patient’s location. OpenTelemed will cover all expenses for assigned employees, ensuring that you are free from any out-of-pocket costs after successfully completing the training and meeting the compliance parameters. Telehealth practitioners who join OpenTelemed are not required to pay any mandatory upfront fees. However, all interested practitioners must meet the compliance parameters, which include enrolling with entities such as HHS, FCC, FEMA, D-U-N-S,, and more. You can complete the necessary enrollments and submit them before beginning the training. Additionally, OpenTelemed is always available to assist you with the enrollment process for a nominal fee. Utilizing our services can expedite the process, as we have extensive expertise accumulated over many years. OpenTelemed receives patients, with a roster ranging from 200 to 500 within our network, for telehealth practitioners via FCC network hospitals. The sole condition for practitioners collaborating with us is strict adherence to the guidelines established by OIG, HIPAA,,,, D-U-N-S, and To maintain patient flow, enrollment is a mandatory step, ensuring the safety of both patients and practitioners while abiding by legal requirements. You have the choice of self-enrollment or utilizing our services for the enrollment process. We highly recommend our services due to the complexity of the procedure, which necessitates authorization within the FCC Universal Licensing System. We do not charge for services such as website development, design, appointment tools, insurance credentialing, telehealth platforms, digital marketing, EMR, EHR, and more because you will be participating within the OpenTelemed network. All the resources we provide will be under your ownership. We understand that setting up these resources can cost a significant amount, usually around $5,000 to $8,000. However, we are charging very little because our primary focus is establishing a long-term, healthy, and mutually beneficial financial relationship.

Furthermore, we are fully compliant with FCC and other federal entities’ guidelines, which means we have specific financial limitations and thresholds for charges. These charges are limited to enrollment and training only. We highly recommend practitioners to utilize our enrollment services for accuracy and a swift integration with the FCC Universal Licensing System, although you have the option to use our services.

Our sign-up process at OpenTelemed is straightforward:

  1. Fill out the application form.
  2. Complete the telehealth society sign-up for patients.
  3. Await the FCC.GOV enrollment and verification process.
  4. Share your compliance enrollment details or utilize our services for a small fee.
  5. Upon agreement, you will be seamlessly added to the self-paced classroom.
  6. As you progress through the training, you will receive all the necessary resources, allowing you to start your telehealth practice upon completion.

OpenTelemed’s revenue model is directly linked to the success of our network partners. We establish a formal agreement between Network Telehealth Practitioners (you) and OpenTelemed Services, which includes a 20% service fee. In essence, OpenTelemed will invoice 20% of the service fees only when you earn income. There will be a monthly invoice issued if you have earnings; otherwise, all assigned resources remain completely free of cost, without any hidden fees.

As an example, if you earn $20,000 in a given month, you would pay $4,000 (20% of your earnings) to OpenTelemed, resulting in a net income of $16,000 for that specific month.
